Karbon Coffee Company was born in Springfield, Missouri with one purpose — to bring the world’s finest single-origin African coffee to people who appreciate the difference quality makes. Our story. Our standard. Our elements

At Karbon Coffee, we proudly honor the pure, perfect simplicity of what the humble coffee bean was supposed to be. We initially investigated the birthplace of our most beloved beverage, Ethiopia, and found a coffee that was leaps and bounds above anything we’ve had before. This is due to the ideal climate, soil quality and their processing methods. Though through our painstaking research, we found it wasn’t just Ethiopia who boasted the world’s best coffee beans, but multiple countries from that beautiful bean growing continent. It’s with great joy that we are now able to share this with the world.

We’ve never roasted to a color. We roast to a truth.

Every bean that passes through our roaster has a precise point — determined by its origin, its altitude, its season, and its processing — where it becomes exactly what it was always meant to be. Not light. Not dark. Not medium. Just right. Our job isn’t to impose a preference on the bean. Our job is to listen to it carefully enough to know when it’s ready.

That’s not a roasting philosophy. That’s a standard we hold ourselves to with every single batch.

You might notice we don’t offer roast options. That’s intentional.

Every batch of this bean is roasted to a profile specific to its origin and harvest — the precise point where its natural character is fully expressed. That might land anywhere from light to medium dark depending on what the bean calls for. We follow the bean, not the chart.

What you’re getting isn’t a color. It’s the best possible version of this particular coffee.
